マヨルカ島ではユネスコ世界遺産の文化的景観としてトラムンターナ山脈の認定登録を申請します。トラムンターナ山脈の詳細については当サイトでじっくりとご覧頂くとして、ここでは私達がなぜ この土地の世界遺産登録を願うのか お話しましょう。

この島には美しい景観や山脈の入り組んだ稜線、温暖な天候、そして水があります。 マヨルカの水は生活に必要な資源であり、また海という美しい景観でもあります。この島の文化にはイスラム教やキリスト教の影響が色濃く残り、数々の哲人や旅人、画家、音楽家、詩人や作家達にも深く愛されてきました。多彩な伝説や豊かな伝統、そして数ある祭りのなかにもこの島の独自性は際立っています。大切に守り続けてゆく価値がここにはあるのです。
