The Serra, distinguished 10 years ago, centuries of tradition
The Serra de Tramuntana has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the category of "Cultural Landscape". A decade ago, the international community recognised the symbiosis between natural and human factors that, over the centuries, has resulted in a monumental work that combines culture, traditions, aesthetics, spirituality and identity.
The Consortium Serra de Tramuntana Patrimoni Mundial
The Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Consortium, made up of representatives of the different authorities - regional, island and municipal - and chaired by the Consell de Mallorca, promotes actions to improve and preserve the tangible and intangible elements and values of the Serra de Tramuntana. These actions are carried out in different areas, always seeking the individual and collective participation of the stakeholders involved. The aim is to carry out actions and initiatives aimed at improving human intervention and the sustainability of this area, which is also a World Heritage Site.
