2.08. Festes de la Patrona – Batalla de Moros i Cristians
On the day of Mare de Déu dels Àngels, 2nd August, the music of L’Alborada is heard, the Cossiers dance and the battle commemorating the Christian victory by pollencins over the army of the corsair Dragut is re-enacted. The dance of the Cossiers is a popular Mallorcan dance, widely documented since the 14th century, which has survived in municipalities such as Algaida and Montuïri, and been recovered in others like Manacor, Alaró, Palma and Pollença.

14.08. Processó de ses Crestes
A peculiar nocturnal procession the origin of which lies in the 16th century. The image of the Mare de Déu Morta leaves the church of Sant Bartomeu carried by men wearing headdresses that are popularly known as crestes.
