Cultural landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage

On 29 June 2011, the Serra de Tramuntana was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the Cultural Landscape category. This distinction refers to the result of the interaction between natural and human factors, as established by the European Landscape Convention. Millenary agriculture, in an environment with scarce water resources, has transformed the terrain and created an articulated network of interconnected water management mechanisms between different plots of feudal origin.

The Serra de Tramuntana Consortium promotes policies for the improvement and conservation of all these elements and of the tangible and intangible values, with actions that seek the involvement and participation of all the people who live and work there and that aim to improve human intervention and the sustainability of the territory of the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Site.

La Serra en obert és l’aportació de les empreses amb Distintiu a la celebració dels 15 anys de la Serra de Tramuntana com a Patrimoni Mundial.
Durant les properes setmanes podreu descobrir, de manera gratuïta, tallers, vinyes, olivars, camps i possessions emblemàtiques de la Serra. En total, 13 experiències úniques per conèixer el territori des de dins.

Portes obertes al taller de Jabón de Mallorca

Descobreix l’art de l’elaboració artesanal de sabons i olis essencials ecològics en una jornada de portes obertes al taller de Jabón de Mallorca.

Durant la visita podràs conèixer les diferents tècniques tradicionals de producció, així com les matèries primeres naturals procedents de la Serra de Tramuntana que donen vida als seus productes. Una oportunitat per apropar-se a un ofici artesanal que combina sostenibilitat, qualitat i respecte pel territori.

Per garantir una experiència més propera i controlar l’aforament, les visites es realitzaran en tres torns de 10 persones, amb una freqüència de cada 30 minuts.
